School Psychologists
School psychologists provide a wide array of services to develop positive learning environments and to promote the educational, social, and emotional development of all students in the schools served by MCSEC. To help resolve problems within preschool and regular classrooms, school psychologists provide services which include: consultation with teachers, parents, and administrators on educational and psychological concerns; classroom observation and intervention, and individual and group counseling. When students are referred for consideration for special education programming, the school psychologist coordinates the comprehensive evaluation process. School psychologists are also involved in preassessment interventions, formulating individual education plans, providing related services for individual students, monitoring the progress of students placed in special education programs, and program evaluation.
